48. Self-contained gas-fired classroom heating and ventilating units
complete with all shelving, counters and accessories;
49. Sheet metal and non-metallic air handling ductwork including hangers
and supports except concrete, masonry and drywall construction shafts or
tunnels in which case only an internal metal liner and/or internal
insulation, if specified, will be provided;
50. Spray eliminators in built-up plenums;
51. Thermometers (self contained) which indicate system air temperatures,
and do not interface with controls system;
52. VAV box operators, controllers pneumatic;
53. Ventilation and exhaust ducting for emergency generators;
54. Weather louvres (mechanical and matching architectural) complete with
bird screen, related sheet metal blank-off panels and filler pieces,
except for louvers of cladding materials having the same finish as the
wall cladding system, and forming an integral part thereof;
55. Welded sheet metal kitchen exhaust duct including the supply and
installation of associated high temperature insulation and metal liner to
protect combustible materials;
56. Welding fume extraction systems complete with central blower/turbine
dust collection unit c/w PVC ducting and related accessories;
57. Work/materials/equipment included under Mechanical - Section 1.
EXCLUDED:
1. External insulation of concrete, masonry and drywall shafts, tunnels or
plenums;
2. Mud grilles, foot grilles, pedigrid grilles including those used in
conjunction with ventilation systems;
3. Indirect fired, self-contained heating and/or cooling units, including
dehumidifiers, except where duct connections are required;
4. Ventilation grilles, caps and/or louvres for: (a) attic, (b) soffit or
(c) crawl spaces (see 54 Included);
5. Work/materials/equipment excluded under Mechanical - Section 1;
The following items Excluded from this subtrade tender will be Included
by the Prime Mechanical contractor:
6. Air washers,
7. Coil supports and hangers;
8. Drip pans under mechanical piping;
9. Drymop, wetmop and vacuum systems;
10. Fume cabinets;
11. Gas fired unit heaters and furnaces not requiring duct connections;
12. Gas vent grilles;
13. Gas, water and rain connections;
14. Gauges indicating Air Flow and/or Pressure and Thermometers for
Packaged Air Handling Units supplied by the Prime Mechanical Contractor;
15. Operational gas tests;
16. PC sums and/or contingency funds when a specific dollar amount is
listed in the Ventilation and Sheet Metal specifications;
17. Spray eliminator units in packaged units only;
18. Steam grid humidifiers;
19. Vitrified pipe except when used in conjunction with air collection
